Rainbow Appache Two (Kingy) is a Pinto Stallion with outstanding New Zealand Thoroughbred bloodlines. His bloodlines include Kurdistan, Salmagundi, both top billing stallions. Kurdistan being champion sire of jumpers. Kingy has sired Intermediate and Advanced eventers, also has had Olympic riders compete on them. He also sired two A grade jumpers, that were bred by previous owners of him.Kingys stock have all been out standing individuals. The strength of his genes ensure, that his Grand offspring are also consistent in their careers.One of his daughters “Anakiwa” won for the New Zealand team, in the international event at Puhuni. With Olympic Silver medallist, Sally Clark.Jonelle Richard's who is part of the present Olympic team, now married to tim Price, also competed her with distinction, winning at major one day and three day events. These include Tauherenikau, where she won the Waiteko trophy. She also won at Kihikihi, plus many other wins and placings. Jonelle and “Anakiwa” were also New Zealand one day event champions 2001. Jonelle also competed with “Anakiwa” in show jumping. She jumped her against the best show jumpers in New Zealand, in a 1.35 Championship against the likes of “Jeep super Moth” and John Cottle, Morris Beatson who won the event, She was one of the six horses to make the jump off. She finished sixth against the clock. ----------------------------------------------- “Pomahaka” also by “Kingy” competed with Italian Olympic rider Giovanni Menchi, in the International invitation class at Puhinui.The Teschmaker Trophy, sponsored by McKendry Cars, held in the top of the South Island has been consistently won over the years by Rainbow horses. It starts off on a 1.20 show jumping round, by the third round the jumps are up to 1.40 and higher, with the wall at 1.60. “Pomahaka” has won the event twice, “Makaroroa” and “Surprise” fought it out, still clear after the third round. To have a jump off against time for first and second. “Makaroroa” has won the event twice as well. All these horses by “Rainbow Appache Two” (Kingy). “Kingys” great grand daughter “Sukowa” was third in the event another year.A large percentage of “Kingys” offspring have competed at New Zealand Pony Club Champs. “Joshua” another son of “Kingys” was the highest individual dressage scorer at Pony Club Champs. He was also part of the previous winning team last season. He was in the winning Springston Trophy team this season as well, the fourth and seventh teams also had Rainbow horses in them.
