He was partly broken in, as a younger horse, now he is being re-started again. He was so big and gangly he needed more time. All Rainbow horses are slow maturing, they finish growing in their eighth year. But they generally keep competing much longer than a lot of horses. $26,000 includes gst

Surprise was 2nd in Tschemaker Trophy against another Rainbow horse, who one it. The final round was 140-160 Both Savanna and Surprise carry Kurdistan and Imperial Guard blood lines from their Thoroughbred dam, plus Kurdistan and Salmagundi feature in Rainbow Appache Two (Kingy) their pinto sire. Its worth noting that Kurdistan and Abernant, Aberlou's grandsire are out of the same Dam. This is the best jumping bloodlines.

Approx.15.2h.h both parents over 16 h.h’s. Monty is bred to event from the best of NZ proven TB bloodlines and Pinto genes from his Dam’s sire line. His Dam had a huge jump, but because of injury, never competed.
This gelding from his parentage, has Intermediate and Advanced eventers as close relations. Also A grade jumpers in old terms from Rainbow Appache Two (Kingy) plus three Olympic riders have competed on his stock. Plus Abbas Lad has left Grand prix dressage and Grand prix show jumpers. Plus advanced eventers also.
Olympic riders have competed for NZ on the bloodlines that this gelding carries.

- Monty is in the process of being re-started. He needed to grow a bit more, he will be an eventing super star with the person who is looking for a horse with a big heart and the spunk to match!
- Many Rainbow horses have gone from starting their first event to Intermediate in a year. I'm sure it has something to do with them being older in mind and body. Stronger all round.
- They compete well into their twenties and have useful long lives.

Very friendly, our horses are slow maturing and don’t finish growing in height until the end of their eight year.
He is has been started and backedHis Dam; is out of a Zephr Palace TB mare by Rainbow Imagine (Ace) she didn’t compete due to a unfortunate accident as a foal. She would have been an excellent jumper like her sire and grand sire have always produced. She had on a couple of occasions demonstrated her jumping ability.
